DAILY HOLY SLOKAS





जानामि शब्दं जानामि चार्थं
जानामि पद्यं जानामि गद्यम्
चिदेका षडास्या हृदि द्योतते मे
मुखान्निःसरन्ते गिरश्चापि चित्रम् ॥२॥
Na Jaanaami Shabdam Na Jaanaami Ca-Artham
Na Jaanaami Padyam Na Jaanaami Gadyam |
Cid-Ekaa Ssaddaasyaa Hrdi Dyota-Te Me
Mukhaan-Nihsarante Girash-Ca-Api Citram ||2||

Meaning:
2.1: (Salutations to Sri Subramanya) I know neither Words, nor their Meanings O Lord,
2.2: And I know neither Poetry, nor Prose, but ...
2.3: ... within the Core of my Heart, I see the Conscious Effulgence of Your Six Faces, ...
2.4: ... which is making these various Words pour forth through my Mouth.


मयूराधिरूढं महावाक्यगूढं
मनोहारिदेहं महच्चित्तगेहम्
महीदेवदेवं महावेदभावं
महादेवबालं भजे लोकपालम् ॥३॥
Mayuura-Adhiruuddham Mahaa-Vaakya-Guuddham
Manohaari-Deham Mahac-Citta-Geham |
Mahii-Deva-Devam Mahaa-Veda-Bhaavam
Mahaa-Deva-Baalam Bhaje Loka-Paalam ||3||

Meaning:
3.1: (Salutations to Sri Subramanya) Whose Form Mounted on a Peacock represents the deepest Secret of the Upanishadic Maha Vakyas,
3.2: Whose Heart-Stealing Beautiful Body Dwells within the Great Heart of Spiritual Consciousness,
3.3: Who is the Great God of the Devas and represents what the Great Vedas convey,
3.4: I Worship that Son of Mahadeva (another name of Shiva) Who is the Protector of the World.



मौनव्याख्या प्रकटित परब्रह्मतत्त्वं युवानं

Meaning:
1: (Salutations to Sri Dakshinamurthy) Whose Exposition through Profound Silence is Awakening the Knowledge of the Supreme Brahman in the Hearts of His Disciples; Who is Himself Youthful ...
2: ... but is Sitting Surrounded by Old and Great Sages who are Devoted to Brahman,
3: The Hands of the Supreme Spiritual Teacher is Forming the Cin-Mudra (gesture of the Knowledge of Brahman) and Whose Appearance is Still and Blissful,
4: Who is Rejoicing in His Own Self which is reflected on His Blissful Face; Salutations to Sri Dakshinamurthy.

कायेन वाचा मनसेन्द्रियैर्वा
बुद्ध्यात्मना वा प्रकृतिस्वभावात्
करोमि यद्यत्सकलं परस्मै
नारायणयेति समर्पयामि
Kaayena Vaacaa Manase[a-I]ndriyairvaa
Buddhy[i]-Aatmanaa Vaa Prakrteh Svabhaavaat |
Karomi Yad-Yat-Sakalam Parasmai
Naaraayannayeti Samarpayaami ||

Meaning:
1: Whatever I do with the Body, Speech, Mind or the Sense Organs,
2: Either by discrimination of the Intellect, or by the deeper feelings of the Heart, or by the existing Tendencies of the Mind,
3: I Do them All (i.e. Whatever work is to be done) without Ownership,
4: And I Surrender them at the feet of Sri Narayana.





लोकाभिरामं रणरङ्गधीरं राजीवनेत्रं रघुवंशनाथम्
कारुण्यरुपं करुणाकरंतं श्रीरामचंद्रं शरणं प्रपद्ये
Lokaabhi-Raamam Ranna-Rangga-Dhiiram Raajiiva-Netram Raghu-Vamsha-Naatham |
Kaarunnya-Rupam Karunnaa-Karantam Shriiraamacamdram Sharannam Prapadye ||


Meaning:
1: (I take Refuge in Sri Rama) Who is Pleasing to the People, Who is Calm and Composed in the Battle Field, Whose Eyes are like Blue Lotuses, and Who is the Lord of the Raghu Dynasty,
2: Who is an Embodiment of Compassion and Shower His Compassion to All; I take Refuge in the Lotus Feet of Sri Ramachandra.






TODAY PRADHOSHAM.

नमामीशमीशान निर्वाणरूपं
विभुं व्यापकं ब्रह्मवेदस्वरूपम्
निजं निर्गुणं निर्विकल्पं निरीहं
चिदाकाशमाकाशवासं भजेऽहम् ॥१॥
Namaam-Iisham-Iishaana Nirvaanna-Ruupam
Vibhum Vyaapakam Brahma-Veda-Svaruupam |
Nijam Nirgunnam Nirvikalpam Niriiham
Cidaakaasham-Aakaasha-Vaasam Bhaje-[A]ham ||1||

Meaning:
1.1: (Salutations to Sri Rudra) I Salute the Lord Ishana (another name of Sri Shiva) whose Form represents the state of the highest Nirvana (extinction of all desires and passions leading to the highest bliss),
1.2: Who Manifests taking a Form though in essence He is Pervading everywhere; and His Form embodies the Highest Knowledge of Brahman present in the core of the Vedas.
1.3: Who remain absorbed in His Own Self which is Beyond the three Gunas (Sattva, Rajas and Tamas), which is Beyond any Vikalpas (Change and Manifoldness), and which is Free from any Movement (due to desires etc),
1.4: Who Abides in the Sky of the Chidakasha (Spiritual Sky); I Worship that Ishana.

ஆபத்தில் அகப்பட்டுக் கொண்டவர்களை அஞ்சேல் என ரட்சிப்பது ஸ்ரீ துர்கா தேவியின் திருநாமம். இத்தகைய அன்னையின் 32 திருநாமங்கள் அடங்கிய இந்த ஸ்தோத்ரத்தை ஜபித்தால் மலை போன்ற இடர்களெல்லாம் நொடியில் நீங்கும்.

Who holds a drum, spear, skull, rope and mace in his hands,
Who is nude, who rides on a dog, who has three eyes,
Who is always happy and exuberant and is the guard of the temple.

Om shirdi vaasaaya vithmahe  sachidhaanandhaaya dheemahi thanno SAI prachodhayaath.

Meaning:
The literal meaning of the mantra is: "I offer everything to Lord Vishnu (Narayana);
whatever I do with my body, words, mind, limbs, intellect or my inner self whether intentionally
or unintentionally. I bow to the great lord, Vishnu".
